The Rural Healthcare Developers is a company set up by founder Ray Shoemaker in order to offer everybody the chance to enjoy the same level of healthcare regardless of whether they live in a major city or in a rural area. Having grown up in Hazel Grove, MS, Ray has witnessed first hand the disparity between healthcare centers in cities and rural areas and through the Rural Healthcare Developers, he aims to right this imbalance while also providing training and leadership programs for up and coming healthcare leaders.

Ray himself was considered one of the brightest young talents in healthcare facility management and having nearly trebled the annual revenue of one facility from a meager $23m to a considerably more impressive $64m while also introducing a number of mental healthcare wings, he was named the Turnaround King by the Memphis Business Journal. He also won the coveted Up and Comers award from the Modern Healthcare magazine which highlights and rewards young leaders under the age of 40.

Ray Shoemaker attributes a lot of his undoubted leadership skills to his time in the armed forces, rising to the rank of Captain within the US Army and this coupled with his impressive professional performance has helped him to start penning a book on leadership skills so that others may enjoy his extensive experience too. A healthcare leadership program, created and managed by Ray himself is also offered to hospitals and other healthcare centers to improve the quality of leadership and management within these facilities.
